A great day out for all the family in North Wales.

A superb collection of waterfowl set in woodland gardens: Woodland Walks, Bog Garden, Hosta Collection, Acers and Rhododendrons, and a series of pools with cascading waterfalls running through a ravine.

Opening times

20th March to 31st November - 10.00am - 5.00pm (or dusk if earlier), 7 days a week.

Evening tours are available by appointment. Group reductions available. (No dogs allowed).

Pen-y-Ffrith Carp and Coarse Fishery

  • Two superb lakes set in 6 acres.
  • 3.5 acre 25 peg match lake.
  • 1 acre lake stocked and double figure fish.
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Open from 8.00am - 9.00pm or dusk if earlier.

Directions

From the A494 Mold to Ruthin, turn left on the B5430 to Llanarmon-yn-Ial village. Go out on the B5431 for 2 1/2 miles, turn right at crossroads. Pen-y-Ffrith is 1 1/2 miles on right.

From A525 Wrexham to Ruthin, take B5431 by white cottage to Llanarmon-yn-Ial for 3/4 mile, turn left at crossroads. Pen-y-Ffrith is 1 1/2 miles on right.
