Walks

9:30am WALK 1: Energetic 12 mile walk exploring Rhuddlan and its neighbouring communities. Leaders: Val & Derek Jones. Expected return time 4:30pm. Bring food & drink. Please wear adequate footwear and clothing. A high level of fitness is required.

10:00am WALK 2: Moderate 7 mile walk exploring the river and the neighbouring community of St Asaph. Leader: Malcolm Wilkinson. Expected return time 3:30pm. Bring food & drink. Please wear adequate footwear and clothing. A good level of fitness is required.

10:15am WALK 3: Historical walk visiting local sites of interest led by local historian Paul Parry and the County Archaeologist Fiona Gale. Expected return time 12:15pm. Bring a snack. Involves stiles.

2:00pm WALK 4: Otter and other wildlife walk beside the river Clwyd with Denbighshire’s Countryside Services. Expected return time 4:30pm. Bring a snack. Involves stiles.

2:30pm WALK 5: Historical walk on pavements and footpaths led by North East Wales Community Archaeologist Sarah Pevely. Wheelchair and buggy-friendly. Expected return time 4pm.

Talks and Displays

11:00am Environmental presentation by Denbighshire’s Countryside Services.

12:00 Exhibitions and events by local groups until 2:00pm.

2:30pm Historical presentation: 200,000 years of Rhuddlan’s history by the County Archaeologist Fiona Gale.
